TASTING NOTES
ELABORATION
100% Tintilla variety from vineyards planted since 1992.
Cultivated in albariza soil.
Manual harvest at night for maximum freshness.
The grapes ferment in oak vats with 90% whole bunches and 10% destemmed grapes.
Two daily rackings and two pumping over are carried out during the 28-day maceration.
Subsequently, the grapes are pressed and the must goes to French oak barrels of 500 liters for 1 year.
Finally, it is passed to 225-liter barrels for 16 months before bottling.
CURIOSITIES
Atlantida is a dry red wine made in Cadiz, a region known for its famous fortified Sherry wines. It is made from the almost extinct grape variety Tintilla, a variety similar to the Portuguese Tinta Miuda, and linked to the famous Graciano de Rioja.
These Tintilla grapes grow in a unique vineyard of 1 hectare called Pago de Bilbaina, where the land is pure albariza.
