Quiñón de Valmira gives you an explosion of elegance and expressiveness in each glass. Awarded 99 Parker points. A red wine  from a unique vineyard. Made with Grenache and other red varieties. Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels  . Aromatic, fresh, juicy, with a long finish and character.

TASTING NOTES

• View: Intense red.
• Nose: Citrus and red fruit aromas, with orange notes.
• Mouth: The tannins stand out more on the palate. Fresh, juicy and with a long and elegant finish.

ELABORATION

Wine from a unique vineyard, a limestone podium on the Ebro Valley with cold soils. Made mostly with Grenache. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in barrels. Aged 20 months in French oak barrels.

CURIOSITIES

Álvaro Palacios arrived in Priorat in 1989, in the town of Gratallops, together with René Barbier, Carles Pastrana and José Luis Pérez, with the intention of transmitting to their wines (Bodegas Álvaro Palacios) all the character of this land. They believed in the Priorat, full of clear essences, Mediterranean sun, cliffs and slate, fennel and olive groves, a land with a mystical soul.

Bodegas Álvaro Palacios has 30-hectare vineyards, where the old Grenache vines grow, under a Mediterranean climate, with so many hours of sunshine and scarce rainfall, and the proximity of the sea, which gives it the freshness of the sea breeze in summer, necessary for the fruit to ripen while preserving all its aromatic potential. Álvaro Palacios also grows Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and some others, experimentally.

Bodegas Álvaro Palacios creates rotund, fresh and mineral wines, such as L'Ermita and Finca Dofí, wines that are already recognized worldwide.
