CURIOSITIES
Rafael Cambra is a small winery that started in 2001 in an old fruit garage in Ontinyent. In 2008 they moved to Fontanars dels Alforins, as they had the vineyards there.
They started by making 8 barrels of their Monastrel "Uno" and later expanded to their Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc in "Rafael Cambra Dos". Since 2011 they have been dedicated to recovering an almost disappeared local variety, the Forcalla by making two wines with it: "La Forcalla de Antonia" and "CasaBosca". In 2012 they started with a plot planted with the Arco variety, from which "CasaLabor" is made.
The winery works in organic and strict dry cultivation a total of 42 hectares of vineyards, 12 owned and 30 leased. The native varieties (Monastrel, Arco and Forcalla) goblet and trellis for Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc.
