Varieties: 98% Tempranillo, 2% Merlot.
Manual harvesting.
Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts at a controlled temperature.
Aged for 12 months in French (60%) and American (40%) oak barrels.
CURIOSITIES
The history of PradoRey dates back to 1503 when the Count of Ribadeo sold the Royal Site estate of Ventosilla to Queen Isabella the Catholic, it remained in the Crown of Castile until 1521, when Charles I donated it to the II Marquis of Denia.
In 1600 his descendant, the Duke of Lerma, began the agricultural and livestock colonization of the estate and the Royal Palace was built.
The estate remained in the hands of royalty until the nineteenth century, when it became the property of the Duke of Caldas who sublet the estate. From 1921 onwards, the property passed into private hands, turning it into a model of agricultural and livestock exploitation.
