CURIOSITIES Atlántida
blanco is made with Vijiriega, a native variety almost extinct in Jerez, Atlántida Blanco is a history project, a wine that tells the story of an era in the history of viticulture that has already passed. Intensely expressive of the Cadiz terroir and completely unique, Atlántida Blanco is a step back in time. Atlántida Blanco is one of those projects by Alberto Orte, a tribute to his homeland of Cádiz, using a grape that had not been seen in a century in Cádiz or Jerez to make a wine of unmistakable origin. Balance, aromatic intensity and a direct line to terroir are his mission, and Atlántida Blanco exemplifies the focus of his talent. Rather than showing a piece of himself, Alberto prefers to let the sun and calcareous soils of the south. Spain speaks for itself, and with this wine, they do so to a large extent.
