CATA's notes:
Development and Aging
The Eguren Family wants to transmit the identity and heritage of this land in this Tinta de Toro monovarietal that is made from its vineyards that are between 15 and 20 years old, with high planting intensity and very little production. It ages for 6 months in French oak barrels and the result is a wine that combines the power and elegance of tinta de toro.
Curiosities:
Teso La Monja is the winery that gives continuity to the Eguren family in the D.O. Bull after selling Numanthia Termes to the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group. To achieve their goal of producing “super wines” in Toro, the Egurens (the makers of several of the best wines in Spain) have 90 hectares of vineyards between 35 and 130 years old and magnificent facilities commensurate with the magnitude of the project.
