WINEMAKING
Wine made with Malvasia grapes from vines planted in goblet in 1920, on sandy soils in the place known as El Carrueco.La half of the wine is fermented in 225-litre French barrels where it remained for 6 months. The other part fermented in a small stainless steel tank, maturing on its fine lees for 6 months.
CURIOSITIES
"The ancient lands of the Kingdom of León, with their icy winds in the depths of winter and muggy summers, chisel the temperament of wines with strength and distinction. They are given their character by the very old centenary vines of low production, guarded with zeal and harvested by hand. On the gravel floors, where the cavalry helmets of the Knights Templar resounded, grow pearly bunches of Tempranillo and the native varieties Tinta de Toro and Prieto Picudo. The careful production of the winery offers a complete variety of young reds with noble wood accords, complemented by the authority of elegant aging, at the height of roasted meats, slaughter products and the rich legumes of the land."
