Bernhard Bürklin (1580-1636) was mayor of Wachenhein (Germany) and with him began the winemaking tradition of the Bürklin family. 200 years later, Johann Ludwig Wolf (1777-1840), owner of incredible vineyards and one of the richest people in Pfalz, bequeathed to his 3 sons the agricultural properties, forests and the Grohé bank.
The name of the winery comes from the marriage of Luise Wolf (1847-1925) and Dr. Albert Bürkling in 1875.

Dr. Albert Bürkling was deputy speaker of the German parliament from 1884 to 1895. He was also director of the Baden Court Theatre in Karlsruhe. After his marriage to Luise Wolf, he moved to Wachenheim and expanded the estate becoming a model for quality wine production.
Jutta Bürklin was left in charge of the management of the winery upon the death of her husband (Dr. Albert Bürkling, great-nephew of the same name as the former German vice-president) in 1979. She led through a decade of great change in German viticulture. After his death in 2021, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren continue to manage and care for this historic winery that continues to produce internationally recognised wines of the highest quality.
Dr. Bürklin-Wolf Riesling Troken is a rich and charming German single-varietal wine. Cuvée of the best Riesling areas in Wachenheim. A fresh and elegant dry white wine that you can't miss.
