Bodegas Quinta Quietud was founded in 1999 by a French couple. Initially the farm of 24 acres had 16 hectares of vineyards and from 2001 to 2003 further 6 acres were acquired.
From the beginning, the crew applied organic farming and since 2002 the entire vineyard has been certified according to CAECYL (No operator: CL9027P).
The vineyard's altitude is between 665 and 700 meters and the vines are grown on poor soils with a considerable depth. The outcome of this is a contrast between the heat and dry surface and the freshness and richness of the subsoil. The combination of the climate, soil and the grape Tinta de Toro seals the strength and complexity of the wines of Bodegas Quinta Quietud.
